          Bullet EQuIP Training with Achieve
Achieve will be hosting 2 days of professional learning to support teachers in implementing the new Iowa Science Standards.

This session supports the use of the EQuIP Rubric for Science to help deepen your understanding of the Iowa Science Standards while providing you with criteria for measuring how well lessons and units are designed for the Iowa Science Standards.

This two-day training will help you better recognize materials that are truly designed for the Iowa Science Standards and to think about how you might modify the lessons and units that you are already using to better match up with what is new and different about the Iowa Science Standards.

Following the 2 day session, participants will be expected to apply the EQuIP rubric to a unit they used in the past year or will be using in the upcoming year and submit the completed rubric.

Educators in TLC roles are strongly encouraged to attend the session with teachers from their district.

Bullet YES! Bringing Sustainable Studies into Your Classroom 2017
YES! (Youth and Environmental Sustainability) is a joint project with Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to facilitate the incorporation of critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills to understand the environmental topics of climate change, air pollution and water pollution.
