This one-day workshop will help administrators and educators serving in TLC roles to support teachers in creating and/or modifying assessments aligned to Iowa’s new science standards. This session will include an overview of the structure of the standards, processes that can be used to analyze the alignment of science assessments to the standards, resources available to modify assessments, and protocols to analyze student work in order to make instructional changes.

Administrators and educators in TLC roles are also encouraged to attend “Implementing the new Iowa Science Standards-Year 3” with teachers from their districts to assist in supporting the creation and/or modification of standards-aligned science assessments.
