Designed for manufacturing teams that primarily work with sheet metal, this one-day, hands-on SolidWorks course focuses on building real-world production skills while providing a practical introduction to Weldments. Participants will learn essential sheet metal workflows, including part creation, secondary features, flat patterns, DXF export, drawings, multi-body design, and tab-and-slot techniques. Through guided exercises and a capstone project, students will gain the confidence to create production-ready parts and documentation. The day concludes with an overview of Weldments, covering structural members, cut lists, BOMs, and drawing best practices, giving students a solid foundation for future learning.
Prerequisites: Foundational knowledge of SOLIDWORKS modeling creation, assembly creation and drawing creation, along with a basic understanding of sheet metal and weldments fabrication.
