    Machine Shop II

    This program is designed to provide a comprehensive, hands-on manual machine training focused on building real, usable shop skills. It is structured, program driven machine instruction designed to develop operators who can read prints, execute operations, set up machines correctly, hold tolerances, and work safely and efficiently. This program is split into six courses, totaling 60 hours of training.
    Prerequisite: Machine Shop I or test out at M-TEC

    Course Structure:

    • Bandsaw Operations - 6 hours
    • Shop Safety & Foundations - 4 hours
    • Drill Press Operations - 8 hours
    • Engine Lathe Operations - 16 hours
    • Vertical Milling Machine - 18 hours
    • Surface Grinding - 8 hours
    • Final Project (Integrated) - remaining hours
