This half-day training will provide participants with practical strategies for using trauma-aware and trauma-informed approaches when supporting students and families experiencing homelessness. Participants will also examine the McKinney-Vento dispute resolution process, including school of origin, best-interest determinations, parent rights, and district responsibilities. Through discussion and real-world scenarios, participants will build confidence in responding to challenging situations while protecting student rights and promoting educational stability.
