Machine Shop I

This program is designed to build foundational technical competency required for entry-level machinists and technicians, with a strong emphasis on application, accuracy, and real-world shop relevance. The program is split up into four 8 hour classes. Participants may also sign up for individual 8 hour courses by calling M-TEC at 616-738-8935.

Course Structure:

  • Shop Math - 8 hours 
  • Metrology - 8 hours 
  • Print Reading - 8 hours
  • GD&T Fundamentals - 8 hours
