Administering Medications in School

Location: Young Adult Services, 12360 Felch Street Holland MI 49424

Audience: Any designated school personnel who are administering medications in school to ensure that student health needs are met according to what is legal and best practice.

Instructors: Registered nurses from Holland Hospital

Administering Meds in Schools is designed for all school staff who administer medications to students. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills they need to establish school policies and procedures which will allow them to safely and legally handle, store, and administer medications to students. Trainers will also discuss ways to implement Michigan law (HB 4713), the law which requires schools "to adopt and implement a cardiac emergency response plan."
