EpiPen Training

Location: Young Adult Services, 12360 Felch Street Holland 49424

Audience: School personnel in the state of Michigan that are responsible for identifying anaphylaxis and administering epinephrine to students in the school setting.

Instructors: Registered nurses from Holland Hospital

State Mandated: One staff member trained for buildings with less than 10 instructional and administrative staff OR two staff members trained for buildings with a larger staff. Michigan law requires that a minimum of two staff members for buildings with ten or more instructional and administrative staff or one staff member for buildings with less than ten instructional and administrative staff be trained in the administration of EpiPens. Registered nurses will provide the training and information on causes, signs, and symptoms of allergic reactions and demonstrate the use of an EpiPen. Hands-on practice with EpiPen trainers will be available.
