IEPs 101 for English Learner Staff

November 4, 2026

8:30-11:30

Location: Young Adult Services Building, 12360 Felch St. Holland, MI 49424

Facilitators: OAISD EL Staff

The involvement of ML staff in the IEP process is extremely important, and its importance is being recognized and encouraged. The challenge that many ML staff face is the lack of background knowledge about an IEP. This session will provide tools to help the ML staff understand the parts and vocabulary of the IEP document. It will also provide linguistic considerations for the IEP document and strategies for making the process more inclusive of the student’s family.

This session will run prior to co-teaching.  Please register for both and spend a whole day learning together.

SCECH's will be available pending state approval

If you have questions, please contact Lori Lee, llee@oaisd.org
