Universal Best Practices in Discipline

The "Discipline for Students with Disabilities" professional development opportunity for local administrative leaders and staff to learn the legal processes for school disciplinary action for "All Students" through the MDE's Revised School Code and the additional discipline protections afforded to "Students with Disabilities" through IDEA.

  • Participants will describe the disciplinary legal entitlements for students with and without disabilities
  • Participants will apply new learning to their role
  • Participants will identify any missing components of their current disciplinary system and procedures

SCECH's will be available pending state approval
