Participants will meet virtually over the summer to discuss the book The Anxious Generation, by Jonathan Haidt. Classroom and student implications will be shared. The first 30 participants will be given a copy of the book, and receive classroom supplies for offline learning ($75-$200 value!). All educators in REMC 5 (GIRESD and CGRESD)- including all grade levels and subject areas are welcome. There will be an online but asynchronous option to participate if you can not make any of the virtual discussion days.
Teachers from MCESA and those not in a teaching role are welcome to participate, and can still receive a free book. Book and material pickup dates are May 14 and 27 at CGRESD May 18 at GIRESD Mahony (Ithaca) from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Contact Joe Trommater if you need to arrange other dates.
