Participants will "do math" with colleagues, observe and analyze classroom video and discuss reading as contexts for examining current and historically important research on effective mathematics classrooms. Participants will use seminar activities and materials as the basis for the design of an action plan for refining your teaching practice to increase student engagement in the following research-based elements of how students learn math.
