This course is an extension of the SW PBIS Advanced Implementation 2016-17: Challenging Behavior Training provided. This course will briefly review the basic principles of behavior and functional behavior assessment tools previously learned. The focus of this class will be to enhance learning of evidenced-based interventions for challenging behaviors. Registration is restricted to staff from a school with an active PBIS team in the advanced stages of implementation and AEA support staff that support Bettendorf Community School District. Each participant will be responsible for attending all classes, selected readings with a reading log, class reflections, and implementation of RTI practice with a case study student. Finally, each participant will also be responsible to present to the group the case study outcomes during the last class in May.
