This course will cover the basic principles of behavior, functional behavior assessment tools and effective interventions. Registration is restricted to staff from a school with an active PBIS team in the advanced stages of implementation. Each participant will be responsible for conducting a functional behavior assessment in their respective school with a case study student. Each participant will practice at preparation of procedures, data collection, running procedures, graphing data, data analysis and future assessment /interventions. Finally, each participant will be responsible for sharing their case example via a presentation to the group as a learning opportunity.
