This course is only open to Prince of Peace School educators.
Education professionals will learn what they can do to help students with mild disabilities — from elementary to post-high school — develop academic skills in organization, test-taking, study skills, note taking, reading, writing, math, and advanced thinking. Strategies fit perfectly with RTI—give teachers a clear and easy way to help struggling students and take next steps if more intervention is needed; improve skills in specific academic areas such as reading, writing, spelling, and math; build foundational skills such as attention, self-control, memory, and good listening; work equally well for an entire class, small groups, or individual students; help students with a wide range of learning challenges, including learning disabilities, sensory issues, and emotional or behavioral problems; and enhance the home-school connection—both teachers and parents can use the handouts and website to help children make progress in areas of concern.
