The Iowa core curriculum suggests the use of more non-fiction materials in student instruction. In this course, teachers will be given many examples and guidelines to use in choosing high quality non-fiction picture books for use in the curriculum. Teachers will also have time to journal about their experiences and read from professional journal articles and videos.
