This course is part 1 of a two part series. Part 1 will introduce teachers to the content of the Number and Operations in Base Ten and Operations and Algebraic Thinking Domains of the Iowa Core Mathematics. Teachers will be immersed in the content as learners and develop skill in identifying student misconceptions and providing conceptual experiences to build understanding in these domains. Some work and course materials are stored online so teachers should bring their laptops. A math notebook is required for this class. Teachers should be familiar with the Standards for Mathematical Practice before beginning this course.
