Using Teaching Strategies GOLD On-Line for Program Administrators


This training is for Early Childhood Program Administrators ONLY. Participants should be implementing or planning to implement Teaching Strategies GOLD™ On-Line.

The Iowa Department of Education holds a state-wide site license for the Teaching Strategies GOLD On-Line assessment system. In order to efficiently and effectively access the on-line system and use the resulting information which is provided by the system, Program Administrators for Statewide Voluntary Preschools (and other early childhood programs in the AEA) will benefit from direct instruction in implementation of this system. This one day training will offer opportunities for hands-on practice in all administrative aspects of the GOLD on-line system.
Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to:
*review the purposes and structure of Teaching Strategies GOLD™;
*understand how to use the various teacher, family and administrator features of Teaching Strategies GOLD™;
*understand the purpose of the six major reports in Teaching Strategies GOLD™ online;
*understand how to generate various reports;
*interpret the reports and explain to others;
*use report data to inform decision making;
*identify implementation challenges and ways to overcome them.
