Using RTI for SLD Determination: New BSE Process and Tool Review!

This session will provide a brief overview of the tenets of PA’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Cross-disciplinary teams will then have the opportunity to use a fidelity tool to evaluate strengths and needs relative to current implementation and contextual issues.

MTSS Core Teams, General and Special Education Administrators, General and Special Education Teachers, SLPs, School Psychologist, School Counselors, Reading Specialists and Tiered Providers, ESL teachers

Learner Outcomes
|
Participants will be able to:
• Describe the core tenets of MTSS and the differences between MTSS and RTI
• Identify MTSS framework components and characteristics of fidelity of implementation associated with each component
• Explain relative strengths and needs of their current MTSS model and specific action steps for enhancing student outcomes
