Use of Data to Inform Instruction

This session will focus on the use of Data to Inform Growth and how those data are used to Inform Instruction. First, this webinar will focus on "data interpretation decision-rules" to differentiate between growth, improvement without growth and loss of improvement. Central to these decision rules is consensus (mindset) regarding how to interpret data using these decision rules. Second, this webinar will focus on "instructional decision-rules" regarding instructional decision making based on the data decision rules.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Identify positive, questionable and poor response to instruction (academic, behavior, SEL) using data-based decision rules.
  2. Identify specific, evidence-based instructional practices based on the specific type of response to instruction.
  3. Explain the use of both types of decision rules in the context of their existing practices.
  4. List resources and supports necessary to implement the decision-rule processes in their work setting
