Student Centered Learning Small Group Framework

Student-Centered Learning Small Group Framework is a two-day professional learning experience focused on designing and implementing equitable, student-centered classrooms.Participants will explore the philosophical foundations of student-centered learning and examine the various models.

Grounded in Visible Learning research and effect size influences, educators will engage in hands-on design work including classroom layout planning, digital agenda creation, accountability systems, learner grouping strategies, differentiation techniques, and implementation planning.

Day 2 emphasizes design, planning, classroom management systems, gradual release of responsibility, and instructional coaching supports to ensure sustainable implementation.
Participants will leave with a customized small group plan and actionable next steps for classroom implementation.

• Develop and utilize Digital Agendas and accountability systems
• Structure independent and collaborative learning stations
• Apply Visible Learning research (effect size influences) to instructional decision-making
• Use formative assessment and feedback to inform instruction
• Develop classroom management systems to support rotational learning
• Create action plans for implementation and instructional coaching support
