REMC Courses
REMC Courses provide an opportunity to enhance personal or professional learning by exploring technology tools and instructional practices. Each free, 3-week course is designed for maximum flexibility, allowing you to move through approximately 10 hours of content that is mostly asynchronous. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, you will engage in at least one live, synchronous interaction with your instructor. All courses are facilitated by Michigan educators and focus on immediate classroom application. Because interaction with others is expected, our courses are not considered self-paced. Optional SCECHs are available for each course. Participants may also pursue a REMC Microcredential for deeper learning through one of 7 pathways.

Ready to ignite student engagement? This course explores the foundational theory of Game-based Learning (GBL) and delivers practical methods for immediate classroom use. You'll gain tools and strategies to design learning experiences that use games to build complex skills, not just review facts. Reflect on the difference between GBL and gamification, and develop powerful game ideas that are fully aligned with your learning goals. Start building deeper student understanding through the power of play.
