Inquiry and Questioning: Igniting Student Curiosity with Technology, Level 1

A powerful question is at the heart of what sparks student curiosity and critical thinking. Students who ask questions are engaged themselves in the learning to find the answers. It is the simplest and most effective way of learning. Course participants learn the importance of question asking, explore how to nurture a culture of curiosity in their classrooms by helping students formulate great questions in their learning, and integrating technology to ignite and sustain critical thinking. Participants will leave with tech tools to meaningfully implement in their instruction as well as a lesson plan focused on inquiry and technology integration.

Course Outcomes:

1. Understand questioning strategies for teachers and students.
2. Explore a variety of methodologies and technology tools that foster questioning and curiosity.

3. Develop a technology integrated lesson with an inquiry focus.
