    TRIG’s Device Purchasing professional development September 2017 courses

    Each course is 3 weeks. There is a 4th week when the instructor completes assignments evaluations for those participants wanting course credit.  6-9 SCECH credits are available.

    Each course requires 6 or 9 hours of total work. They breakdown into two parts:

    Part One • Complete the assigned pre-reading and reflections as preparation for the 1st webinar. Approximate time: 1 hour • Attend the 1st Webinar: Either attend the live session OR watch the recorded session. Reflect on the content and dialog. Approximate time: 1 hour • Complete the Post-Webinar 1 Assignment: Work is job-embedded. Approximate time: 1 hour

    Part Two • Complete the assigned pre-reading and reflections as preparation for the 2nd webinar. Approximate time: 1 hour • Attend the 2nd Webinar: Either attend the live session OR watch the recorded session. Reflect on the content and dialog. Approximate time: 1 hour • Complete the Post-Webinar 2 Assignment: Work is job-embedded. Approximate time: 1 hour

Welcome to Advanced Google For Learning, a blended learning experience about
using Google Tools to increase classroom rigor. Educators across the globe are
capitalizing on Google’s multimedia tools to make their lessons more dynamic,
engaging and supportive. Using the top levels of the SAMR model, and a Depth
of Knowledge (DOK) level 3/4 participants will explore the use of mixing media
and data for creating effective blended lessons. Designing lessons that
encourage students to use Google’s multimedia tools to create authentic  
products that promote creativity and voice will be will be a critical part of the

learning journey for course participants. The course outcomes are:
• Understand how multimedia tools support blended learning and student
creativity
• Reflect on the use of multimedia tools to provide authentic learning
experiences via Authentic Purpose Lenses
• Explore and apply usage of multimedia tools for learning at a DOK and SAMR
Model level 4.

Logistics:
This Blended Learning experience includes live instruction via two webinars using
Adobe Connect, independent work in the classroom, and collaborative conversations
(asynchronous) via our online learning platform: Schoology

2. SCECHs:
On completion of this course, you can earn 6 hours of SCECHs. SCECHs are processed
by REMC. For any questions regarding SCECHs, please contact Erin Rommeck,

Course requirements for earning SCECHs credit for online course completion:
1. Attend both live Webinar sessions, or watch the recordings for each session.
Recorded sessions are posted in Schoology. Webinars have prompts that attendees
respond to during the session. If a recorded session is viewed instead of attending a
live Webinar, the prompts must be posted in the Schoology Discussion Board. This
helps the instructor know what supports to provide.
2. Submit the post-webinar assignment in Schoology within 7 days of the date of the
Live Webinar session. The assignments are in the Schoology Folder. Extensions
may be granted on request for up to 5 days beyond the course end date by the
instructor.  
3. Must submit to the course instructor the 2016 Participant Verification Form to
complete SCECH application
This form must be delivered to the course instructor via email within 5 days of the
