SWIS Facilitator Training June 2023

This training prepares and certifies participants to provide services and supports as a SWIS Facilitator to local schools interested in implementation of the School-Wide Information System (SWIS) including installation (e.g., readiness & licensing), user training, team coaching, and ongoing technical assistance with data collection and use of SWIS data for decision making. Registration for the training must be approved by the MiMTSS TA Center and confirmed by PBISApps. Please reserve 8 hours during the week before the first synchronous training session to complete all pre-training activities online.

Target Audience
|
|
Individuals who plan to support schools as a SWIS Facilitator by assisting schools with SWIS readiness requirements, completing licensing paperwork for new SWIS accounts, training SWIS users, and providing ongoing coaching to schools related to SWIS.

Learner Outcomes
|
Upon completion of this certification training, participants will be able to:
1. Successfully navigate the SWIS application and support school-level users in account set-up, data entry, and reporting.
2. Describe their role in monitoring school readiness, user training, team coaching, technical assistance, and ongoing maintenance associated with supporting SWIS implementation.
3. Embed the role and responsibilities into job description and time allocation.
4. Support 2-5 schools in meeting and maintaining SWIS readiness requirements and implementation within 6 months of certification.
