*How to Teach Students to Think Critically About Text (Grades 2-5) - 17/18-312 03/26/2018

This professional development workshop is built upon the critical reading and writing skills called for in the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  Thinking critically about a text requires students to evaluate information and ideas presented in the text. Throughout the day, educators will deepen their understanding around comprehension and vocabulary as a way to help students think critically and respond to higher order questions. Educators will be provided with a deep understanding to help students become well-versed readers, writers and thinkers! Teachers will be provided time to plan a lesson based on the learning from the day.

    Target Audience
Grades 2-5 Teachers, Coaches, Principals, Interventionists, Paraprofessionals and School Psychologists.
