New Teacher Induction Day 1: Welcome to Education

    September 1, 2022 OR September 15, 2022

    • This training will look at a variety of topics that are important to all new teachers. Time will be spent looking at induction, the importance of the mentor/mentee relationship, and making the most of this opportunity. New teachers will receive information on ACT 13, how they will be evaluated, and what this evaluation means for them. They will have time to explore the TIMS website, as well as reviewing what is required to earn their level two certification. Along with these resources, new teachers will have time to investigate the many resources that can be found on the SAS portal.

We will finish out the day focusing on classroom management, and the do's and don'ts in the world of education. Professionalism, equity for all students, and best practices will be stressed during this time.
