New Teacher Induction Day 1: Welcome to Education 2022-23
|
ARIN Intermediate Unit is offering a series of four trainings for new teachers. Each in-person session will feature interactive learning designed to assist new teachers and enhance their instruction during their first year of teaching. Each session is offered on two separate days and will run from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. There is a $60 registration fee/participant. Lunch is included and six Act 48 hours will be awarded at the completion of the training. New Teacher Induction Day 1: Welcome to Education September 1, 2022 OR September 15, 2022 - This training will look at a variety of topics that are important to all new teachers. Time will be spent looking at induction, the importance of the mentor/mentee relationship, and making the most of this opportunity. New teachers will receive information on ACT 13, how they will be evaluated, and what this evaluation means for them. They will have time to explore the TIMS website, as well as reviewing what is required to earn their level two certification. Along with these resources, new teachers will have time to investigate the many resources that can be found on the SAS portal.
We will finish out the day focusing on classroom management, and the do's and don'ts in the world of education. Professionalism, equity for all students, and best practices will be stressed during this time.
