    Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT)

    The Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT) is a preschool classroom assessment used to measure the implementation fidelity of Preschool Pyramid Model Practices in the classroom. These sessions prepare participants to successfully administer the TPOT with preschool teaching teams to inform coaching goals around Pyramid Practices. With Practice-Based Coaching, use of the TPOT supports the implementation of Pyramid Practices with fidelity, leading to improved outcomes for children, families, providers, and programs.

    Prerequisites for this Event: Preschool Pyramid Model Practices and Practice-Based Coaching

    Registration for the training must be approved by the MiMTSS TA Center. Please reserve approximately 3-4 hours on the last day of the training session to complete all check-out requirements to become a Reliable TPOT Observer.

    By the end of these sessions, participants will:
    1. Review TPOT items, administration procedures, and scoring criteria
    2. Practice scoring individual TPOT items
    3. Complete a TPOT video check-out to become TPOT Reliable
