    Classroom Environment and Teaching Assessment (CETA) & Effective Teaming & Meeting Mechanics
    This half-day professional development session explores Participants will learn how to use the CETA tool to systematically assess and enhance the physical, instructional, and social-emotional components of their classroom environment. Through reflection and discussion, educators will explore how intentional design can increase engagement, regulation, and independence for all students. It includes evidence based practices that are effective for all and essential for some.


    The session also introduces the Meeting Mechanics framework, an evidence-based process that supports efficient, student-centered collaboration. Educators will practice using this tool to engage in focused, outcome-driven conversations that build shared ownership, clarify roles, and support consistent implementation of inclusive practices.
    Target Audience
    General Education and Special Education Teachers K-12
    Learner Outcomes
    Describe the purpose and structure of the Classroom Environment Teacher Assessment (CETA) and explain how it supports inclusive and neuroaffirming classroom design.


    Use the CETA tool to assess the physical, instructional, and social-emotional components of the classroom environment and identify strengths and areas for improvement.


    Recognize the core principles of the Meeting Mechanics process and how it supports efficient, student-focused, and team-driven collaboration.


    Apply the Meeting Mechanics framework to engage in effective team meetings, including setting clear outcomes, defining roles, and following a structured process.


    Develop action steps to enhance inclusive classroom practices using data and insights gained from the CETA and Meeting Mechanics tools.


    Collaborate with colleagues to identify classroom priorities, develop shared goals, and implement proactive strategies that promote engagement, regulation, and independence for all students.


    Reflect on current team and classroom practices and commit to at least one area of improvement aligned with START Project principles.
