CPI’s Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training prepares staff to prevent and deescalate medium to high-risk behavior using both restrictive and non-restrictive methods. CPI’s proprietary framework introduces a 4-step process for turning crises into an opportunity for positive outcomes. This training will include:
- Review Crisis Development Model
- Review Verbal De-escalation Continuum
- Risks of Restraint
- Review and practice personal safety techniques
- Review and practice Team control and Child Control position
Prerequisite: Participants must have completed a full CPI training within the last two years to complete the refresher course. If the full course is
needed, register for a refresher and take online modules prior to the
