This professional development event is designed to strengthen Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) implementation across early childhood programs including Head Start, Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), and Early Head Start Home Visiting. Aligned with evidence-based frameworks such as PTR-YC (Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Young Children), the Pyramid Model for Promoting Social-Emotional Competence, Creative Curriculum, and Teaching Strategies GOLD, this event will focus on deepening coaches’ capacity to support educators and home visitors in delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate, and inclusive practices. Through interactive sessions and collaborative reflection, participants will explore strategies for integrating data-driven decision-making and goal setting within the PBC framework. Emphasis will be placed on aligning coaching practices with fidelity tools and assessment systems, including the Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT/TPITOS) and Teaching Strategies GOLD, to individualize support for practitioners working with children across diverse settings. Participants will have opportunities to analyze video examples, engage in peer coaching simulations, and examine case studies across center-based and home visiting models. Special attention will be given to supporting inclusive practices, trauma-informed approaches, and culturally responsive coaching that reflects the strengths and needs of children and families. This event aims to ensure cohesive implementation of tiered supports, enhance practitioner competency in curriculum and assessment integration, and promote strong, collaborative coach-practitioner relationships. Coaches will leave with practical tools and action plans to support continuous quality improvement across their early childhood systems.

Important Information
This session will be ongoing from 07.01.2025 - 12.31.2025.
Staff are offered up to 12 hours of professional development between August and December as part of the PBC. Assigned coaches (EDC/ECS) hold the responsibility to lead and track PBC time. Individual staff PBC time is recorded in Wisdomwhere in January.
