This course is for educators who are curious about coding but unsure where to begin. Rather than learning to code from scratch, you will explore free and low code platforms designed specifically for students, along with AI tools that can act as a supportive co teacher to help you generate ideas and build simple projects. You will learn practical, classroom ready strategies for bringing computational thinking into any subject area at any grade level, even if you have no prior experience. The focus is on creativity, confidence, and student engagement, empowering you to help learners move from consuming technology to creating with it.

Important Information
Each free, 3-week course is designed for maximum flexibility, allowing you to move through approximately 10 hours of content that is mostly asynchronous. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, you will engage in at least one live, synchronous interaction with your instructor. All courses are facilitated by Michigan educators and focus on immediate classroom application. Your instructor will email additional course information at least 24 hours before the course start date. Because interaction with others is expected, our courses are not considered self-paced.
Note: New users must create an account in the registration system before registering.
