Non-Local Teacher Participation
If an individual who is not employed by a local school district within the Marquette-Alger RESA service area wishes to attend a professional learning session, a standard training fee of $25 will apply. This fee helps cover expenses such as lunch, SCECH processing, and program materials. However, if an attendee is outside of the Marquette-Alger RESA service area and wishes to attend an event without the $25 fee, they may do so but will not receive SCECHs.
An example of this might be a community member who is not currently employed as a teacher OR a teacher from outside our RESA boundary, who wishes to participate in professional learning to earn SCECHs for license renewal.
