Reading Recovery® continuing professional development supports trained teachers in sustaining the specialized expertise required to accelerate literacy progress for the lowest-achieving early readers and writers. Through ongoing study of teaching and learning, collaborative analysis, and coaching from a trained Teacher Leader, teachers refine instructional decision-making while maintaining fidelity to Reading Recovery standards. Ongoing professional learning provides Reading Recovery teachers with regular opportunities to study and respond thoughtfully to emerging research and changing instructional contexts.
Comprehensive Intervention Model (CIM) ongoing professional development supports trained teachers in sustaining high-quality, responsive literacy instruction for students with persistent reading and writing difficulties. Through continued study of teaching and learning, collaborative analysis, and coaching support, teachers strengthen instructional decision-making while maintaining fidelity to the CIM framework.
Prerequisites: Completed RR/LPS/LL/CIM courses
