    English Language Development (ELD) Program Review

    This session provides attendees with a comprehensive overview of the program evaluation and improvement planning process. Participants will gain practical knowledge and tools to analyze data, assess program effectiveness, and design targeted improvement strategies to support English Learners (ELs).

    Topics covered include:

    • Understanding and interpreting ACCESS data
    • Setting individual growth and attainment targets for ELs
    • Using data to inform instruction and programming decisions
    • Determining adequate English language proficiency (ELP) growth using individual growth targets and percentile growth references
    • Types of assessments and their appropriate uses
    • Leveraging formative assessment data
    • Understanding validity and reliability in EL assessment
    • Conducting a thorough program evaluation
    • Developing and implementing a program improvement plan

    Participants will also receive access to tools and templates that support each step of the evaluation and planning process. This session is ideal for those seeking to enhance data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in EL programming.
