Impact Through Inquiry @ Presque Isle: a STEELS & Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience
|
|
Bring Local Environmental Issues to Life—Right on the Beach
at Presque Isle! Join us for a hands on educator workshop held on the beautiful
shores of Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA. This immersive experience helps
K–12 educators design Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) that
spark curiosity and empower students to investigate real environmental issues
in their own communities. Spend the day on the beach exploring field tested
strategies, collecting and analyzing environmental data from Lake Erie’s unique
ecosystems, and planning authentic student action projects—all fully aligned to
PA STEELS and Environmental Literacy & Sustainability standards. Leave with
a ready to use MWEE plan, classroom friendly resources, and an unforgettable
day of learning at one of Pennsylvania’s most magnificent outdoor classrooms.
