Achieving Authentic Communication with AAC and Getting to Know PRC-Saltillo - EC
Join us for an engaging, hands-on session that combines practical AAC strategies with an introduction to PRC-Saltillo communication solutions. Participants will explore how to use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to foster authentic, meaningful interactions—going beyond requests to support the full range of communicative functions. The session will also provide an overview of PRC-Saltillo’s wide range of AAC devices, access methods, and vocabulary options, including Unity® and WordPower™, as well as available languages and support resources. Attendees will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge, participate in interactive activities with AAC tools, and leave equipped with strategies to promote genuine communication and confidence in selecting and supporting PRC-Saltillo systems. Ideal for speech-language pathologists, educators, caregivers, and anyone interested in enhancing communication for individuals who use AAC. ASHA CEUs will be provided by PRC-Saltillo. Please note that this PD training will be hosted by Erie's Public Schools and held at East Middle School.
    Target Audience
Speech-Language Pathologists, Classroom Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Assistive Technology Consultants, Learning Support Teachers, Paraeducators, and anyone using or interested in learning about AAC
