We’re expanding our K–5 Literacy Leaders’ Network to
the secondary level. The Char-Em Literacy Leaders’ Network for Secondary
Leadership Teams will bring together instructional leaders from across the
region to strengthen literacy practices and build system-wide coherence.
This network is designed for secondary school
leadership teams and will focus on sustaining a high-functioning literacy
leadership team responsible for leading the implementation of a reading
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and supporting the
requirements of Michigan’s dyslexia law in grades 6–12. Teams will engage in a
structured process for data-based decision making using both student outcome
data and self-assessment data from the Reading Tiered Fidelity Inventory
(R-TFI). Throughout the meetings, teams will use this information to identify
strengths and needs, prioritize next steps, and develop implementation plans to
strengthen their reading MTSS framework.
Participants are asked to register separately for each session they are able to attend.
