Secondary Learning Support & Emotional Support Teachers Networking 26-27SY

Join us for a dynamic networking session designed specifically for secondary learning support and emotional support teachers—and open to any educator who supports secondary students in academics or behavior. This professional development opportunity provides a space for educators to connect, share ideas, and collaborate on best practices for supporting students with diverse learning and emotional needs. During this session, we will engage in open discussions around hot topics in special education, explore effective strategies, and exchange valuable resources that can enhance our teaching practices.

Whether you’re looking to expand your toolkit, stay updated on current trends, or connect with like-minded professionals, this session will offer a rich environment for learning, sharing, and problem-solving. Together, we will explore the challenges and successes we face in supporting students with unique needs and work to develop innovative, inclusive strategies for promoting student success.

    Objective(s):  Participants will

    • Share Resources and Ideas: Exchange practical resources, strategies, and teaching tools for supporting students in the learning support and emotional support contexts.

    • Discuss Current Trends: Engage in discussions on hot topics in special education, such as inclusive practices, trauma-informed teaching, and mental health support for students.

    • Build Collaborative Networks: Develop meaningful professional connections with peers in similar roles, fostering ongoing collaboration and support beyond the session.

    • Identify Key Strategies: Reflect on and identify new strategies for improving student engagement, behavior management, and emotional support based on shared experiences.

    • Problem-Solve Together: Collaboratively address challenges faced in the classroom, leveraging the collective knowledge of the group to find practical solutions.
