Social Emotional Learning in Relation to One's Self: Self-Awareness and Self-Regulation
his three-part, virtual series will use the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning's (CASEL) model of Five Core Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies to build participant's background knowledge. Strategies to integrate these broad, interrelated CASEL 5 Core Competencies will then be explored in a way that is authentic to the participant's role within the school setting.

The first session in the series will focus on SEL as it relates to one's self, by exploring the competencies of Self-Awareness and Self-Regulation. In the second session, SEL as it relates to others will be explored through the competencies of Social Awareness and Relationship Skills. The final session will explore the last competency, Responsible Decision-Making, and provide ideas on how to continue to incorporate SEL within the classroom beyond this series.

Participants do not have to attend all three session, but it is encouraged. Participants should register for each session in the series individually. If you have any questions please contact either of the consultants listed below.
