Event Details

Blended Learning in the Classroom (BLiC) Split Model
Participants will complete the course orientation and modules 1 - 3 between July 20 and August 24. (5 weeks) Modules 4 - 8 will be completed September 21 - November 30. (10 weeks)

The Blended Learning in the Classroom course begins on July 20 with online work, and includes a face-to-face session to be held within two weeks of the course start date.

Some important information:
  • Participants will complete online course introductory activities PRIOR to the face-to-face.
  • You can expect to spend approximately 7 hours working on EACH course module.
  • The course runs for 15 weeks.  Orientation and Modules 1 - 3 between July 20 and August 24 (5 weeks); Modules 4 - 8 between September 21 - November 30 (10 weeks)

There is the option to receive 62 SCECHs (pending approval) for successful completion of all coursework.

Target Audience
This course is for classroom teachers of students of all ages. This course covers the theory, pedagogy, and technical elements of online work in the blended classroom.
Learner Outcomes
Participants will:
  • Experience active and timely praxis
  • Engage in learning, application, review, and revision of content
  • Begin developing their own blended environment
