W6904 Center Programs PBIS Forum

This workshop (#6904) will provide a review of the MDE Department of Special Education Guidance Document on Shortened School Day issued in September, 2019. It will also include a review of the Wayne RESA Shortened Day Best Practices Recommendations issued in December, 2019.


A panel consisting of six Special Education Administrators and Behavior Specialists from three districts will discuss their experiences providing educational and behavioral support for students on a shortened day, and an effective process for increasing the school day while maintaining behavioral gains. The cases discussed by our panelists will exemplify best practices related to school-based wraparound, functional behavioral assessment, and behavioral intervention for students with complex and severe behaviors.


Districts are encouraged to send teams including Special and General Education Administrators.
