Engaging Activities for the Elementary Math Classroom

Teaching math can be fun!  Come learn some hands-on, practical ideas for engaging your students in the math classroom.  You will leave this workshop with games and ideas to take back to try with your students.

Teachers grades K-6, Title and special education teachers and paraprofessionals

Learner Outcomes

Participants will

  • participate in hands-on activities throughout the day.
  • create manipulatives to bring excitement to learning in their classroom.
  • explore strategies to increase engagement throughout lessons.

 

State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs)

Pending approval, SCECHs will be available for this training. Information will be provided at the workshop.

 

Substitute Reimbursement

Reimbursement for a substitute will be provided for all teachers from districts within the Char-Em ISD service area who indicate yes for sub reimbursement during registration.

 

Registration for staff outside of Char-Em ISD or COP ESD
Based on space availability, there will be a registration fee of $75 for any participants from outside Char-Em ISD or COP ESD service areas. Payment is due upon receipt of registration confirmation.  Payments should be made to Charlevoix-Emmet ISD and sent to 08568 Mercer Blvd, Charlevoix, MI 49720.
