Event Details

--Leverage Phenomena to Increase Engagement

Phenomena is the why of Science! This PD will have participants digging into the key features of anchoring and support phenomena. They will then create a plan for how to use phenomena with other best practice instructional strategies to increase student engagement and understanding in Science.

There are two 1 hour pre-recorded sessions participants will need to complete before attending the Zoom meeting listed.

Target Audience
K-12 Educators, Administrators
Learner Outcomes
1. Recognize the characteristics of a quality phenomena and the impact on student engagement and learning. 
2. Compare previous and current 3-Dimensional assessments and how they use phenomenon to assess student learning.
3. Plan for the implementation of phenomenon in your classroom and identify the instructional strategies that can support sense making of these phenomenon.
