+The Behavior Code: Challenges at Top of the Triangle 19/20-114

This two-day series will provide the conceptual background for breaking the behavior code. Participants will leave with a systematic approach for deciphering causes and patterns of 4 types of difficult student challenges: Anxiety-Related; Oppositional, Withdrawn and Sexualized behavior. Participants will be able to match them with proven strategies that get students back on track.  

Target Audience
K-12 special ed and general ed teachers, administrators, counselors, social workers, school psychologists and behavior specialists.
Learner Outcomes
1. Demonstrate understanding of the primary function behind four types of problem behaviors.
2. Practice deciphering patterns that help in the selection of strategies to change behavior.
3. Practice using a framework for a behavior intervention plan that takes into account the mental health and skill deficits the student may have.
