*Tackling Complex Text (Grade 6-8) - 17/18-309 11/30/2017

The purpose of this one-day workshop is to provide teachers with research-validated instructional strategies that will support students’ ability to unlock comprehension of complex text.  With the increasing demand of the CCSS, students must possess strategies that they use independently and with automaticity as they read in all content areas.  Teachers will increase their knowledge in what makes text complex, discuss key areas of student break-downs in comprehending complex text and identify strategies that will support student success.

Target Audience
Grade 6-8 Teachers, Coaches, Principals, Interventionists, Paraprofessionals and School Psychologists.
