*Empowering Struggling Readers and Writers (Grades 9-12) - 17/18-310 11/21/2017

In order to address the plethora of instructional needs within an English classroom, teachers must be well versed in strategies that will extend learning, increase acquisition as well as remediate skills for students require additional support. The purpose of this one-day workshop is to review tier one instruction, while addressing the incorporation of tier two supports for struggling learners in the areas of reading and writing.  Teachers will analyze the critical attributes needed to teach reading and writing within tier one instruction, and review research-validated scaffolds to support struggling readers and writers.

Target Audience
Grade 9-12 Teachers, Coaches, Principals, Interventionists, Paraprofessionals and School Psychologists.
