CreATive Makers

Despite the popularity of the Maker Movement,  Assistive Technology has often been viewed in a different light.  Assistive Technology, including activities and toys designed for children with special needs, continues to be expensive.  Makey Makey is a low-cost Maker product that can provide access. It is also a customizable intervention tool to address students’ special needs in a fun, meaningful and interactive way. Discover how Makey Makey can be used to help improve a student's fine motor, visual motor and gross motor skills; also strength, range of motion, sensory processing, cognitive skills and much more. Learn how Makey Makey provides many possibilities for Assistive Technology in this hands-on workshop. Participants will receive a Makey-Makey starter kit, supplies and tools.
