Implementing New Title IX Regulations: Training for K-12 School Administrators

Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU) is pleased to announce a robust Title IX training event, crafted in partnership with Levin Legal Group  and Beard Legal Group. This collaborative initiative is specifically designed to provide targeted support and training for Administrators, Supervisors, Superintendents, and especially key Title IX personnel such as Coordinators, Investigators, Decision Makers, and others involved in the implementation and management of Title IX procedures.

In addition to this single-day professional development experience, districts/LEAs participating in the event will receive access to an asynchronous version of the training, licensed for a full year from the date of the training. This access includes updated resources to help ensure compliance with the new regulations.

Lunch: Provided

Credit: 6hrs (Act 48)

Fee: $3,000 per District/LEA

Target Audience
Title IX Coordinators, Investigators, Decision Makers, and other personnel responsible for implementing the school entity's grievance procedures or who have the authority to modify or terminate supportive measures.
Learner Outcomes
  • Understand the New Requirements:
    • Learners will comprehend the fundamental aspects of the new Title IX requirements.
  • Effectively Implement the New Requirements:
    • Participants will analyze and apply strategies for the effective implementation of new Title IX requirements.
  • Apply the New Requirements to Existing School Environment:
    • Participants will integrate the new Title IX requirements into the existing school environment and modify school policies, procedures, and attachments accordingly.
  • Engage in Q&A:
    • Learners will engage in at least one hour of Q&A to clarify doubts and deepen understanding beyond the five hours of content presentation.
  • Access Training Resources:
    • Participants will receive a copy of the PowerPoint and training materials, which may optionally be posted on the School District’s website.
  • Preview of PSBA’s Title IX Policies:
    • Learners will gain a comprehensive overview of what PSBA’s Title IX Policies (Policy 103 and 104) and attachments might include.
  • Implement Non-Discrimination Statement:
    • Learners will receive a sample Non-Discrimination Statement to be included in the District’s Policy, Teacher and Student Handbooks, and Website.
  • Utilize Complaint Forms and Template Letters:
    • Participants will receive sample complaint forms, additional template letters, initial and close-out letters for Title IX reports, and resolution agreements from mediations.
  • Adopt Best Practices:
    • Learners will identify and recommend best practices to adhere to and comply with under the new Title IX requirements.
  • Discuss Key Title IX Cases in Pennsylvania:
    • Participants will review and discuss several key Title IX cases in Pennsylvania that have emerged since 2020.
